The mission happened to be in the land granted to this Native American tribe.
Edith Wharton's life was interesting. She left the home after her divorce and lived in France the rest of her life.
Everyone has remarked about the location of the lupines. There weren't that many but I thought they make a nice foreground in the image.
Thank you for your kind remarks.Robert's viewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13582396674764512992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2082974447292930490.post-8441682547250494942013-07-18T17:06:13.273+01:002013-07-18T17:06:13.273+01:00Thank you, Anders. Looks magnificent against the blue sky. Very dramatic capture.

Such an interesting dining room, makes me wish I had posted some pics from the old Victoria Hotel in Vic Falls, Zimbabwe. All olde world charm. Wonderful history behind it.

Lupines? Wow, by the coast. What a pleasant surprise to find after the walk across the dunes.

Thank you so much for travelling with us this week. YOur input is always appreciated and valued. A very intimate and elegant dining setting in the Wharton home. My favourite shot is the third one.
