Bryce is just awesome and breath-taking. The day I visited Corfe it was raining for much of the day, so not exactly thirsty work. I simply cannot imagine NY, it is so huge, but then so are Bryce Canyon National Park, I think I would go mad in the first and thirsty in the second, now I spot an Inn in Corfe Castle, , so taking a quick stop over and a dram before going on that walk across the hills in Wales. Great entries for this interesting theme. It is truly breath-taking in it's beauty. At it's highest point, the elevation is over 9000 feet. It's the highest point I've ever stood, the air is so still and clear. Joanne and I are talking about possibly touring the parks of Utah next year, so it's quite possible we'll be seeing Bryce again soon. The tofus are amazing in formation. Your sky with the clouds is beautiful. The scene of the village looks like a set from one of the Jane Austen films. Very charming. I've only seen a fraction of it. I need to go again!! The Brecon Beacons is the most popular place for walking in Wales. Bryce, to me, is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, and I am definately going to return there in the not-too-distant future!! Corfe Castle is a really pictureque place. It is so stereotypical of the 'chocolate box' idea of an English village!! If I hadn't seen it for myself, I'd have said was faked!! LOL. The Brecon Beacons are some of the most beautiful countryside here in Wales, and also has some very challenging hikes. Me and Baz hiked Pen-Y-Fan (the Beacons highest peak at 886 metres) a couple of summers ago. New York is one of the cities that is "The" city and yours is a classic shot of it. What could be bigger country than Bryce - this is a great photo that captures its majesty. I love the picture of the lovely town of Dorset, maybe my favorite with the Fox Inn and the Union Jack fluttering. And a bonus shot of the green hills of Wales with maybe a cloud shadow on the top of one of the beacons? So nicely done with the rock fence and an inviting lane.benni https://www.blogger.com/profile/09942386013237815777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2082974447292930490.post-61015934841340254482013-06-29T11:51:17.569+01:002013-06-29T11:51:17.569+01:00Good Morning Mitch three wonderful takes on the th...Good Morning Mitch three wonderful takes on the theme, I remember the visit to Corfe well;) Great work.Barryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04268292871804653276noreply@blogger.com
