Hi Folks, here I am in the US where many of us are gobsmacked and embarrassed. The theme will be "Eve of Destruction". Haha - just kidding. For a theme I going to use "Animal, Vegetable, or Mineral".  It shouldn't be hard to take or find pictures, especially if you play with the definitions. Here are mine to get you started. You can do three of one or one each of three, or mix and match, whatever suits your fancy.

Animal: a snowy egret in flight.

Vegetable: I am not sure what sort of flower this is, but it caught my attention. It may be of the lily family.

Mineral: Ice coating my front door light.

Have fun! I'll be around tomorrow to see your pictures! Oh, and many thanks for using my farmers' market "Shops" photo as banner shot. Puts a smile on my face.

Many thanks to Pat for hosting this week. A good theme, should get some variety of different types of shops!! It's not a subject I photograph very much, so I had to really dig into my archive for my contributions!!

1) Traditional greengrocers. Lots of lovely fruit!!

2) A shop in Weymouth, England that specialises in traditional and craft ales and beers. I'll drink to that!!

3) A popular gift-shop in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

4) Fish and Chips....always a popular shop, wherever you are in the UK!!

Pat from Switzerland: My turn this week and so let's see what we can do with our shopping trips. I take photos everywhere and anywhere.

I thought I would start in my supermarket, where I am to be found three times a week, usually in the morning with Mr. Swiss.

This is me at the hairdressers, so meet Heidi. She is the best hairdresser I have ever had,does my hair just as I want it and is always ready for a laugh. She has become a personal friend, and also happens to be a neighbour of mine, living in the same estate, although that is really all coincidence,

I was in town sitting outside in a restaurant and Mr. Swiss found that might make a good photo, so I naturally took a photo, always having my camera with me. It looks like the young lady (which is a model) was trying to escape on her bicycle.

I took this shot last week, I take shots of everything these days. It seems there was some building going on and everything was a bit mixed up. Intertwinations everywhere.

If it was not for so much intertwining the magpie would have flown away.

Many thanks to Anders for hosting this week, a good new theme that we haven't done before!! This one took some thinking about, but I think I found a good variety of shots from my archive that fit the theme!!

1) The 'Wriggly Tree'. This is one of my earliest digital photos, of a tree that has been almost engulfed by the intertwined  branches of a creeper. 

2) Predator and prey intertwined!!

3) The petals of this flower are still intertwined until it fully breaks open.

4) This family of Meerkats are intertwined for safety. Can you see baby meerkat peering out from underneath it's parents?
