Thanks, Mitch, for putting my graffiti image as banner image!
Thanks, Benni, for the choice of a theme that gave me fun..
OCTOPUS IN THE HANDS OF A FISHERMAN (LISBON REGION)
FLAMENCO DANCER (LISBON CITY CENTRE)
MAJOLICA CERAMIC WARE AS SEEN THROUGH A WINDOW (ITALY)
FRONT DOOR OF A HISTORIC BUILDING (MOVIE THEATRE-MADRID)
Love the first photo - that would be a good beginning to a horror film. I would rather have flamenco dancers in our town square, so wonderfully colourful. The ceramic is a good shot and the movie theatre. you certainy live in an interesting place.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat! Your first sentence gave me a smile...
DeleteHi Belita!! Fabulous shots for this week's theme!! Great capture of the fisherman holding the twisty octopus!! Wonderful shot of the flamenco dancer. I really like how you've left her 'coloured' while the rest of the shot is B&W. Fascinating ceramic in the third shot, almost looks lie the shell of a fantastical sea-creature. Love the ornate features of the movie-theatre!!.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch! Many thanks for your kind comment...
DeleteHi, Belita, what lovely pictures. I like the octopus picture, we Italians eat them as I am sure you know. The flamenco dancer is wonderful; she is so graceful and the technique of having her in color adds to the excitement of the picture. Beautiful ceramic, great colors and textures. The theatre is fascinating and once again so many colors and textures. Retratos maravilhosos!!
ReplyDeleteHi Benni! I agree with you... the top one is the best of the four pictures...
DeleteMuito obrigado!
Ps. I realy appreciate your words in Portuguese language, however, please, allow me to add something: 'retratos' means portraits and always applies to people, while in other cases, we would say 'fotos, fotografias, imagens'.
Oh thank you!! I use a translator and I am not always sure that it is accurate.
Deleteoh how wonderful belita love them all the flamenco dancer is superb

Hi Heidi! I don't like octopus then it would never make me feel hungry. However, many Portuguese do love it.
DeleteThanks for your kind comment!
