Many thanks to Belita for hosting this week. A great theme, with lots of possibilities. Didn't take me long to find some suitable shots!!
Here are mine:
1) Blue reflections.
2) Blue Poppy.
3) Painted ceiling of Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England.
4) Great Blue Heron hunting for lunch.
Beautiful shimmering Columbiablue sky reflected in the silvermirror of the water
ReplyDeleteExquisite blue poppy
Utterly lovely palatinateblue
"From heron after I will always stand quite still when Mitch comes by to take my pic."
Hi Mitch! No need to thank me. I am doing it with pleasure. As I had expected, your contributions for the theme are fabulous. Once again, I can't select my favourite... From the simplicity of the subject in the first photo and the never seen before blue poppy in the second image, to the wonderful ceiling and the awesome detail of the great Blue Heron, all are really perfect choices.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch love your shots--
ReplyDeletethe blue poppy is cool the painting wow
all of them are wonderful
Hi Mitch, this is a great variety of blue shots. The water in the first is like glass, reflecting the sky and showing off the bits of wood. The blue poppy is astounding. I didn't know they came in blue, and the light is amazing. Wimborne Minster is a different shot from the rest, cobalt blue high up, again wonderful light. And, oh, how I would love to be able to capture a blue heron in that kind of setting. They are majestic birds, and that is a majestic capture.
ReplyDeleteThat first shot is so dreamy! Like a gazing pool. It would be so relaxing to just sit beside the water there.
ReplyDeleteThe blue poppy is gorgeous and one of the most amazing captures of light I have ever seen.
Pretty, pretty ceiling. Great shot!
Wonderful shot of the heron. He looks like he's about to strike!
Wonderful sharp reflections in the water and a beautiful blue poppy, which I rarely see. The ceiling is a good impression of a sky painting and wonderful capture of the blue heron. I have never seen a heon in switzerland, but probably don't visit the right places
