Good morning and good day!! Wonderful banner shot by Mitch. It seems that here in the USA whenever we have something old and picturesque we replace it with something new, modern, (and often plastic).
Great theme, here are my pictures:
Cliff paintings in Canada. The paintings were done about 500 years ago and were bright red until about 40 years ago when they started fading due to acid rain.
A green glass plate.
Sunset in oil by a young man on the beach.
Beautiful captures.
ReplyDeleteHi Benni !! Fabulous shots for this week's theme. Good catch of the tribal art in the first shot. Such a shame it is slowly being eroded away. Any idea which tribe? I really love the colour and patterns in your second shot. Looks like the young artist on the beach had a good eye for colour.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mitch. The pictures (there are many) were done by the Ojibwe people. If you want to see more pictures and the cliffs where they are painted, you can put "Agawa pictographs" into Flickr's search engine.
DeleteSome lovely representations of art. The cliff paintings are very interesting and I quite like the sunset not so easy to paint, at least I could not do it. Like the green glass plate pattern.
ReplyDeletebenni I love your shots
ReplyDeletesad about the stone paintings that they couldn't protect them
Hi Benni! I really like your three shots. Interesting paintings on the cliffs... very nice glass plate that, at a first sight made me think it was a kaleidoscope... The sunset paining is my favourite. Love both the colours and the composition. A very good shot...
