Many thanks to Heidi for hosting this week. An appropriate theme for the time of year, as autumn has now officially started in the Northern Hemisphere. Doesn't seem like 5 minutes since there were sweltering temperatures here in the UK.
Here are mine:
1) In the countryside autumn is a time to see fungi, like this Fly Agaric.
2) And of course, the leaves start to turn colour. Here in the UK we don't get as much splendid Fall colour as New England, but we do get some, like these golden Beech leaves.
3) In my local town of Pembroke, there is the annual October Fair in autumn, with traditional fair-stalls such as this.
4) And it wouldn't be a proper fair without a few thrill-rides!!
wow Mitch that mushroom my all time fav love them hard to find here
ReplyDeletethe light through the trees great

Wonderful pictures, Mitch! I love mushrooms and yours are (deadly) beauties. Very nice leaves and a carnival booth I would love to visit. Think I might pass on the thrill ride, but I love the effect of movement.
ReplyDeleteLove the mushroom colour, very original. We also have the Autumn fair in our town of Solothurn - a trade fair and a real fun fair. The autumn leaves are always a good subject for a photo.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Mitch, a wonderful mixed bag of Autumn sensations ;)
