Hi everyone! This is Belita. I'll be hosting this week's PT Challenge. After thinking and thinking I decided to go for something that I presume we have never done before. If we have, I don't remember it at all. So, the theme is...
EVOKING TITLES OF FILMS, BOOKS, MUSIC GENRES
May you have a Happy Easter if you celebrate the festivity.
May you have a Happy Easter if you celebrate the festivity.
A Film by Ethan Cohen and Joel Cohen (2007) that won four Oscars
A 1985 British romance film, directed by James Ivory and produced by Ismail Merchant, of E. M. Forster's 1908 novel of the same name.
An European folk tale that numerous authors have rewritten or adapted it (Graffiti - Lisbon)
One of the landmarks in Riga (LATVIA) is this sculpture of four animals, a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster standing on each other, although the dog looked more like a pig to me. It is based on a fairy tale by the brothers Grimm and represents the Town Musicians of Bremen.
Opera buffa composed by Gioachino Rossini (1816)
or perhaps it is.
ReplyDeleteOne of my fav movies - A room with a view.
A classic story wll portrayed
Amusing statue.
The first cut is the deepest.
Hi Belita!! Many thanks for hosting this week. A very good unusual theme, I'm certain we have never had this one before!! I had to think on this one!!! I really like the first two photos, they perfectly evoke the movies you have named. I have seen the first one, but have never watched the second one. Great capture of the 'Red Riding Hood' graffiti. The sculpture in the fourth shot is most unusual, and is a rather strange representation of the Musicians Of Bremen. Maybe it would make more sense if I looked it up and read about it!! Perfect shot to represent the 'Barber Of Seville'!!
ReplyDeleteHi Belita thanks for hosting and thanks for a cool theme
ReplyDeletelove them all especially the last one and the Little Red Riding Hood cool and of course Room With a Vies but all are great
Great theme and great pictures! In the first, I am so interested to hear what the men are talking about. Love your picture of a Room with a View, also one of my favorite films. Sweet Little Red Riding Hood, and fascinating Latvian sculpture. And a real barber of Seville.
ReplyDeleteI think you got us all thinking this week, I know I did. You have made very good choices The first is a very good representation of the film. The silhouette of the lady looking at the view is perfect and a very good graffiti from Lisbon. The Bremer Musikanten appear in all versions in many places - a good shot. And the barber of Seville is a great action shot.
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your kind comments.
