Hi Heidi !! Many thanks for updating your photos. A great selection for the theme. I love the old-fashioned fire-engine!! It looks to be very well maintained. Where are those grind-stones from? Was it a flour-mill? Lovely scene where the trains used to stop. I bet that press produced a few litres of wine in it's time!!!
ReplyDeletethe grinding stones were for a floor mill and and fire engine belongs to a museum we have in our valley
Deletethe wine press actually belonged to my grandpa's brother in France and we use to go there during harvest and sort of help and play yes really interesting
Delightful old fireengine
ReplyDeleteCool wheels
Wonderful old station
Looks like it did a great job!
Great pictures! Love the fire engine and the grape press. All very nice!
ReplyDeleteI just noticed one of the grindstones has "HI" written on it. It's a nice picture, both because of the stones and also the ambience of the town in the background. And the train station as well.
DeleteNostalgia pure of the fire engine. It has real character. The stone grinding wheels are interesting and love the grape press. There are not many old stations left, mostly transformed into something else in the meanwhile.
