Thanks for hosting Benni and a wonderful banner photo.
A sunflower field in the area around Schaffhausen. It is an area where they grow them for the sunflower oil production.
This is what happens when the field has been mowed. It is left to dry in the sun to provide hay for the animals in the winter.
This field is in our village and in summer the cows take over.
And here another sort of field: vineyards in the Mosel area of Germany. The fields at the front belongs to the parents of my daughter-in-law. They also have a couple in higher places, but everything seems to grow on a slope in that area.
Beautiful majestic mountain vista and field of sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot of the orderly rows of hay in the field
Beautiful and pastoral
Lovely view of the wineyards.
hi Pat wow all are so very nice love the sun flower field and of course the mowed grass for feed and the pastoral and always love vineyards
ReplyDeleteHi Pat !! Wonderful photos for Benni's theme. Love that field of sunflowers. I wonder what it would be like to wander around in it, not being able to see anything but sunflowers towering above your head. I can almost smell the freshly mown grass in the second shot. It's what i think of as a summer smell. Lovely pastoral scene with the cows in the field. I really like the shot of the vineyards. Every photo I've ever seen of a vineyard it seems to be on a slope. I don't think grapes can grow on a flat surface!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, Pat, sorry to be late in commenting. Your pictures are wonderful, just what I was hoping for. Wonderful photo of the sunflower field, and then again when they are cut for hay. And the contented looking cows in the summer sun. The vineyards are beautiful and the farmhouse makes the picture complete!
ReplyDeleteHi Pat! Wonderful set of photos for the theme. A field of sunflowers is like a smiling crowd... I love it! The cows have had a good idea, otherwise we could not give a look at such a beautiful countryside scenery picture.
