Pat calling from the middle of Europe, somewhere in Switzerland where the hedgehogs and cats say goodnight to each other. As usual I am posting on Friday evening as Saturday does not work for me, especially in the morning.
Sometimes we have a surprise (or even a shock) when we upload our photos from the camera. It wasn't quite what you imagined, but hey it is not so bad. The shocks we just throw away. This week you can show the artistic ones, the surprises, according to your own taste. Perhaps a little explanation of why and how would be good.
I call this one "The Last Man" and I took the photo on one of the last days where I live when they were removing the scaffolding from the building work. One of the last builders leaving the scaffolding, the next day it was no longer there. I was surprised how it came out, and I did not photoshop. The light was right at the right moment.
This was another lucky one. We drive past this building on the way home at least three times a week from the supermarket. There are trees opposite and the sun was shining, so the perfect time for reflections of the trees in the surface of the highly polished building.
Being a member of The Cloud Appreciation Society, with a badge and everything, I cannot resist taking cloud photos. This is one of my specials, not an everyday cloud.
There is nothing as fascinating as cranes, they spring up everywhere. Another one on the way to the supermarket, but this time the cranes have a wonderful background of the Bernese Alps.
Hi Pat cool theme love your shots
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots for a great theme.
ReplyDeleteHi Pat !! Many thanks for hosting this week, and for a really interesting theme!! I love the minimalism of the first photo, it really is artistic. Great catch in the second shot, the blending of the building and the nature it's reflecting is wonderful. Beautiful cloudscape in the third shot. Clouds are experts at creating art!! I really like the juxtaposition of the angular man-made shapes (the cranes) and the smooth curves of the mountains in the background.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a theme! Love the minimalist shot up top and the trees reflected in the building facade. Quite an unusual color, and a lovely one for a cloud. And wonderful shot on the bottom with the mountains in the background.
