Waiting for the Mermaid Parade to start. Metal barricade gates that the NYC Police use for crowd control. This is on Surf Avenue at Coney Island. |
At Battery Park looking toward New Jersey |
The beautiful cast iron wall on Bow Bridge, Central Park. This is the first cast-iron bridge in the Park (and the second oldest in America) Circa 1859-1875 |
Queen Elizabeth Gate, London |
the first photo is good, I wonder if the dog enjoyed the parade.the second brings back some memories of New York and a very nice bridge in the third. I think the Queen Eliabeth gate arrived after my time, in memory of the queen mother.
ReplyDeleteHi, Debby, I love that you have two fascinating shots of both the theme prompt and very interesting people. I like the old-fashioned Bow Bridge with a glimpse of a modern building in the background. And beautiful Queen Elizabeth Gate.
ReplyDeleteHi Debby! Very good shots for this week's theme, specially the last one, my favourite...
ReplyDeleteHi Debby!! Wonderful shots for this week's theme. Those metal barricades in the first shot seem to be used in many places. They are common in the UK at big events, too. I like the interesting people behind it, I love that little dog!! Good view from Battery Park to NJ. I was wondering where Joanne would be in relation to that, probably a LOT to the left!! Beautiful shot of Bow Bridge. I wouldn't have guessed the wall was cast-iron if you hadn't said. It's really well-preserved. Nice shot of the QE gate to finish.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots Debby, I especially like the London shot Marci and I stood on that exact spot this Summer!
