Picture This #328 ~ Fading Light

Many thanks to Benni for hosting this week. A great theme, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's entries for this one. Fading or low light can make for dramatic shots, it's something I like to photograph from time to time when the conditions are just right.

Here are mine:

1) Lowering Sky. This isn't a B&W shot, this is actually how the sky looked on that day.

2) Storm clouds above the Brecon Beacons, Wales.

3) Sun & Silhouette. Again, not B&W.

4) Flock of sheep at sunset.

  1. Hi, Mitch! Four stunning shots. I have seen the woods like that, late in the day, color faded away, a majestic bleakness in the leafless trees. The storm clouds are a wonderful contrast to the rich color of the land. Great shot of the grasses with the sun peeking through the clouds. And, (possibly) my favorite, sheep headed home, silhouetted against the golden sunset.

  2. Utterly lovely shimmering silverclouded sky and intricate latticework of the branches of the trees

    Very Turneresque

Beautiufl greyclouded whiteswathed sky and silhouetted grass.

  3. The first photo could almost be a black and white, very good capture. the second photo has a wonderful atmosphere, the contrast of colour on the hills to the sky. The reed photo would be a good background to a supernatural story and the silhouettes of the sheep at sunset are fantastic.
