These photos show parts of the gradual stone by stone dismantling of the chimney of the Helsingborg Rubberboot factory.
Marvelous series of pictures, Anders. From top to bottom, a nice progression showing the demolition of the chimney. I especially like the 4th picture but they are all great.

Deletehi anders what cool and different theme thank you
ReplyDeletelove the way you took the shots
it is always so interesting how they can take a thing down like this without harming anything else around
Thanks, Heidi <3
DeleteHi Anders!! Many thanks for hosting this week. An interesting theme, and definitely one we've not done before!! A great series of shots showing the gradual dismantling of this very tall chimney. It might have been more exciting if they could have brought it down using explosives, but I guess it was too close to other buildings.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mitch. The method used by taking it down brick by brick was because they wanted to save them for later use.
DeleteInteresting to see how buildings are demolished in Sweden. The chimney destruction was really well pictured in your shots. I like the system they applied: recycling by dismantling. I like the last photo showing the scar left by a chimney.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat <3 I even made a slideshow of the whole process from all the photos I took.
