Hi belita wow wonderful shots of bridges love the one over the Tagus especially from the bottom
ReplyDeleteThanks, Heidi!
DeleteBeautiful shot of the slender bridge.
ReplyDeleteCool angle
Nice perspective.
Thanks, Anders!
DeleteHi Belita. Your second shot is so unique! How creative to think of viewing the bridge from beneath! Your top shot is lovely and the second one makes me want to take a walk and look over the sides.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Benni! Actually the unseen side was nothing special...
DeleteHi Belita!! Good to see you this week. Great shots for the theme. The bridge over the Tagus looks impressive from the distance, but it's even more impressive in your second shot from below!! Strangely it looks both fragile and strong at the same time!! There's a lovely peacefulness to the third shot, I can almost hear your footsteps as you walk across the bridge.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch! The suspension bridge is one of Lisbon's most notable landmarks as it spans the River Tagus at the narrowest point. This massive bridge closely resembles that of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and the date name remembers the Portuguese Carnation Revolution of 25 April 1974.
DeleteYour spanish bridges are very impressive, especially the April 25 bridge from the two different angles - good idea. Nice bridge on the St. James Way to take the weary feet of the pilgrims I assume.
ReplyDeleteHi Pat! From your words, I realise that my explanation was not clear enough. Only the bottom shot pictures a bridge in Spain. The suspension bridge as I replied to Mitch, is one of Lisbon landmarks.
