Hi Heidi !! Great images for Belita's theme. Love that monument in the first shot, I remember you telling us of what it signifies in a previous theme. The palace in the second shot has definately seen better days!! And so has the building in the third shot!! Lovely final shot. I've always meant to ask.......was this taken through a window? As there seems to be some sort of reflection in front of him.
BTW. Can I remind you, when posting your photos, to use HTML code from either Photobucket or Flickr and NOT to upload them directly to the 'Picture This' page. This causes me extra work, as I have to copy the photos, upload them to the PT Flickr page, then use the HTML from there to re-input the photos. I've done it now for this week, but please use HTML from next week. Thanks :-))
thanks will do it the way I use to do it Mitch-- the last shot is actually the last shot on a roll and I must have taken 2 together at the end of the roll --I almost threw it away till I looked at it really closely
Hi Heidi! Your four shots are all beautiful in so many ways. Was the top one taken in France? I think I saw something like that when I was travelling in Languedoc.
Hi Heidi, Perfect shots for the theme. The first one is a historical tribute to an injustice. One can see what was once splendor in the old palace. I believe that the last image is dearest to your haert. What a nice memory of that person sitting with a glass of wine.

Fantastic shots, Heidi! That first shot is a great reminder of the past. So austere.
ReplyDeleteNice building in the second. I love the balcony with the arched doorway. Wish I had one!
The third place looks a bit dilapidated. I love the strips of different colored wood above the stonework/bricks.
I really like the last photo of your husband! Sweet memories.
Lovely shots, some good memories caught on film
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, and I like the effect of the last one, intentional or not. It has an ethereal quality to it that makes it all the more precious.
