HI ALL!!
BENNI, A WONDERFUL THEME!!
BELITA, YOUR PICTURE IS WONDERFUL!!
IN THE MIDDLE AGES THE ARCHITECTURE WAS DAUB AND WATTLE HOUSES AND VERY THICK WALLS SURROUNDING THEIR
VILLAGES THIS WAS ALSO A CARRY OVER FROM THE ROMANS
THE HOUSES IN A VILLAGE IN SOUTHERN FRANCE ABOUT 1100 --STONE WAS THERE SO THEY USED IT IN MINERVOIS, FRANCE
OH this will be fun. Seeing what I can build to fit this theme. Thank you Heidi
ReplyDeleteImpressive ruins
ReplyDeleteBeautiful arch
Beautiful folly
Wonderful streetshot
Wonderful takes for the theme Heid I really like them all ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Heidi, very impressive ancient and old architecture. Wonderful picture of the Roman ruins, I hope I can get there someday. I hadn't know the name of the Medieval architecture, love the light coming through the arch. Lovely SF gazebo, but my favorite is the shot of the French village. It's intriguing with the doorways and stone walkway, and the man makes the shot.
ReplyDeleteSome interesting contrasts. The Romans were OK and left us a few interesting monuments.I am reading a novel entered in the early middle ages concerning some architects and it is interesting the angles and construction tricks they had to apply that everything didn't collapse. Interesting building in SF and we have a few similar streets to the last photo in some Swiss old towns.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, Heidi! I love them all. The last one is my favorite. Such a beautiful shot!
ReplyDeleteHi Heidi !! Great shots for Benni's theme. The first shot is kinda spooky. It looks like a double-exposure, as you can see through the people in the shot. The architectural style in the second shot is very impressive. Lovely shot of the SF expo. My fave shot is the last one, I love those old stone buildings.
ReplyDeletevery impressive shots, Heidi....I particularly like the third from the top...
