Picture This #294 ~ If I Were A Bird

I just love this theme. I have often wished to be a bird. Also, photographing birds is one of the delights of my life. Thank you, Belita.
Glorious banner shot, Pat!

Pelican
If I were a bird, I wouldn't be able to keep my mouth closed about it.

Male redwing
If I were a bird, I would protect my nest and try to scare people.

Bait bucket
If I were a bird, no untended bait bucket would be safe.

Light n trees
If I were a bird, I would never leave Florida.

  3. Hi Benni !! Love your shots for this week's theme. That pelican sure has a lot to say for himself!! Great in-the-air action in the second photo. What kind of bird is that? Your third shot is my fave.....it makes me smile to see the opportunistic egret about to help himself. I can understand not wanting to leave Florida, and you don't have to be a bird to think it !!! LOL.

    1. Thanks, Mitch! The second bird is a red-winged blackbird. They nest nearby where I walk up north and swoop when they have eggs or chicks.

    1. It's hard to get those birdies in flight. I have to waste a lot of time practicing. Thank you.

  5. Hi Benni! Looking at the four photos for this week's theme, I easily conclude that if you were a bird you would be a very beautiful and charming one, either when flying, opening the mouth or scaring people, while you would decide well where to live in.... Can't the place where we live affect our lives in many ways?

  6. Hi Benni, I like how you selected shots and wrote captions to go with them. I like the pelican and the last bird with the bait bucket. I would prefer spending winter in a climate like Florida's too. Great shots.
