Picture This #358 ~ Castles, Palaces Or Manors

Terrific banner, Pat!!

Welcome and greetings from Sweden. This is Anders and I'm your host this week. The theme is about the various regal buildings that dot the landscape in many countries. Hope you'll enjoy this challenge. Now I'm on a three-day weekend due to the Midsummer holiday. All the best to you all. Anders.

The castle of Sofiero that lies three kms from where I live.

The castle of Krapperup thar lies a couple of kms north of our village.

Ellinge Castle which lies in the south-western part of Scania

  1. Hi Anders!! Many thanks for hosting this week. A good theme, we haven't done this one for quite a while. I like all three of your regal buildings, although I'd be inclined to call them stately homes or mansions rather than castles, as they look too modern for castles. I particularly like the red brick and tile of the middle shot. The one in the third shot is similar to a place not too far from where I live.

    1. Thanks, Mitch. Yes, the definition of what is a castle is quite loose in Sweden.

  3. Magnificent castles, Anders! I especially like the one from Sofiero which is enhanced by the greenery surrounding it. The one on the bottom looks oldest and is wonderful too.

  4. Hi Anders! Thanks for the choice of this week's theme. It's really good and so are your pictures. I particularly love that Sofiero Castle that, at my eyes, has something of a fairy tale...
