Hi everyone!! This is Mitch, I'll be hosting this last theme of 2016. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you all a very happy and healthy New Year!! I decided to avoid a theme based around New Year and decided instead to go for a colour-based theme. So, lets see your different shades of green!!
1) The greens of a backlit leaf.
2) This little green fellow dropped by to say hello while I was walking around Colby Woodland Gardens.
3) The different shades of green in this bud disguise the fact it will shortly be a sunflower!!
4) The light and shaded greens of a fine old English Oak.
Beautiful brilliant limegreen of the leaf and shell of the bettle.
ReplyDeleteThe Day of the Triffids.
Utterly wonderful intricately intertwined twisted branches of the oak.
Hi Mitch great theme
ReplyDeletelove the backlit leaf, that little green beetle ugh we have them here to great shot, love the sunflower bud and the huge green leafy tree cool
have a nice New Years evening
Happy New Year, Mitch! Wonderful macro of the leaf, so many elements that I love. The shadow, the veins and the bursts of light along the edge. Lovely little beetle and great picture of the sunflower, showing the fine hairs and golden promise within. The old oak tree is beautiful with the dark branches holding the leaves.
ReplyDeleteGreen is everywhere, although not here in Switzerland at the moment, so we have something to look forward to. I think we call those green fellows Stink bugs here. I often find them in my garden in summer. Love the details on the sunflower bud. Was looking for Robin Hood in the oak tree, but I suppose he is still hibernating. Good effects on the leaf.
ReplyDeleteReally fantastic shots. Love the first back of leaf shot. Excellent details. Love te bug. The sunflower plant is pretty.
