Picture This #193 Sky

Sky and sea
Fog is when the sky comes down to wrap the earth in herself for a short time.

Florida from the air

Saturday I was in the sky, high in the sky, waving good bye to Florida and going home. It was a comfortable trip but I am tired from it and from unpacking 2 months worth of clothing and shells.  So I  am late posting and commenting. Thank you all for your lovely pictures and thanks especially to Mitch for his theme and honoring my glass beads.

  1. Hi Benni !! Great to see you taking part even though you've only just arrived back from Florida. I really like that foggy first shot. It's like the sky is hugging the earth. Fantastic shot of Florida from the air in the second shot!! I thought at first that was a marina, but on a closer look I see it is houses!!

    1. Thanks, Mitch. It's a development with houses and a marina as well. It is built on landfill, impossible, I'm told, to get insurance for. One medium size hurricane will wash everything away.

  3. I love the foggy beach scene, Benni. It's beautiful!

That's an amazing aerial photo. I've never seen a subdivision planned around the water like that. From the air it looks a bit like Aztec art!

    1. Thank you, Debby. It was lovely to be there in the fog that day. As I mentioned to Mitch, the subdivision, looking indeed like Aztec art, is quite vulnerable to the forces of the sea. Still, it would be nice to step out one's door and get into a little sailboat.

    1. I loved seeing my beach (quite a bit south of here) from the air. And much closer than commercial aircraft.
      Thank you.

    1. Thank you, the fog that day was awesome. I didn't know what driving home would be like so I was "forced" to stay at the beach for a long time.

  9. Your first photo would make a stunning wall hanging. It is 'out of this world'.
The one from up high is brilliant to my mind. I could almost make words in the outlay.

Lovely that you are back home, unpacked, and now relax.
