Picture This #211 ~ Summertime Blue

It's said there ain't no cure for the summertime blues . . .

Or anyway, so the song says. What a wonderful theme, Mitch, and a wonderful banner. Here are my three:

Naubinway
Lake Michigan looking south; the lake and sky blur on a hazy summer's morning.

Blueberries
Close by the lakeshore one can find wild blueberries. I did not linger long as these patches are favorites of bears.

Violet salad
I might have used this picture before, purple violets in a cobalt blue bowl. A nice salad with a light lemon juice dressing.

  1. Hi Benni !! Three lovely shots for this week's theme. That shot of Lake Michigan is really nice, it really is difficult to see where the water ends and the sky begins!! Nice plump blueberries in the second shot. I'm sure the bears wouldn't mind sharing with you. LOL. Love that combination of blue bowl with green salad and purple violets. A treat for the eye as well as the palate :-))

    1. Hugs, hi Marianne. Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed my pictures. Up north where the top two were taken it really is fairly wild. About 400 km. from where I live. There are wolves too.

  8. Very beautiful shots, Benni. The photo of Lake Michigan in the early morning seems so tranquil. I love your close up shot of the blueberries. Good idea to not get close with the bears. The last image is unique. What a great arrangement of lettuce leaves and blue violets.
