It's said there ain't no cure for the summertime blues . . .
Or anyway, so the song says. What a wonderful theme, Mitch, and a wonderful banner. Here are my three:
Lake Michigan looking south; the lake and sky blur on a hazy summer's morning.
Close by the lakeshore one can find wild blueberries. I did not linger long as these patches are favorites of bears.
I might have used this picture before, purple violets in a cobalt blue bowl. A nice salad with a light lemon juice dressing.
Hi Benni !! Three lovely shots for this week's theme. That shot of Lake Michigan is really nice, it really is difficult to see where the water ends and the sky begins!! Nice plump blueberries in the second shot. I'm sure the bears wouldn't mind sharing with you. LOL. Love that combination of blue bowl with green salad and purple violets. A treat for the eye as well as the palate :-))
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Mitch. I don't think the bears would mind sharing, lol. Then again, they are said to like Italian food...
DeleteWonderful shots all 3, Benni. Wow, Bears ............ I read they love Blueberries too.......... and you reckon I live in a wild place LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs, hi Marianne. Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed my pictures. Up north where the top two were taken it really is fairly wild. About 400 km. from where I live. There are wolves too.
DeleteBears and Wolves? Mmmhhmm, then I reckon I am safer with my tame wild life here . LOL
DeleteLove them all. the first is really a blue blue. The blueberries is a good idea and a lovely arrangement in the third Such an intense blue of the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat. I was introduced to edible wild flowers some years ago and enjoy using them.
DeleteSerene waterscape
ReplyDeleteLovely blueberries
Lovely composition of the flowers and the glass plate.
So kind of you, Anders. I am glad you enjoyed the pictures.
DeleteVery beautiful shots, Benni! What a serene landscape! Very nice hues of blue in the second shot... the third is my favourite both for the colours and the creative composition...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Belita. It was wonderfully peaceful and serene at that spot. And I am glad you like my little salad.
DeleteBeautiful shots bENNI;L)
ReplyDeleteYou might know where the top two were taken, Baz, Naubinway in the U.P. Thank you, glad you like them.
DeleteThe lake does look lazy and peaceful! I can almost reach through and pick those blueberries! I would love to taste that salad...almost to pretty to eat!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Danette, that was a lovely holiday. Thank you for your kind words.
DeleteVery beautiful shots, Benni. The photo of Lake Michigan in the early morning seems so tranquil. I love your close up shot of the blueberries. Good idea to not get close with the bears. The last image is unique. What a great arrangement of lettuce leaves and blue violets.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robert. I love to make flower salads but I am the only one who will eat them in my family.
