  1. Hi Heidi !! Three really nice shots for this week's theme. LOvely shot of the Rhein on a summer's day. Riquier looks like a beautiful little town, with lots of interesting old buildings. Great shot of the old chain-ferry in the last shot. There are very few left of those in the UK.

  4. Love your photo banner, Heidi! looks great!

I'd love to take a trip down the Rhein in that pretty red canoe. It looks like it would hold quite a few people.

Love the little village in France, so quaint and picturesque.

What a great touch to the ferry, flowers on either side. Was that for a special occasion, or is it always like that?

    Nice shots, all three!

    1. the flowers on our ferry was for its anniversary over 500yrs. actually we and the town on the other side were Roman and they were celebrating 2000yrs.
so there has been a ferry for over 2000 yrs. here

  5. Love your photos, the Rhein looks familiar. Heidelberg must be a beautiful place and the chain ferry is very nostalgic. Riquier is also very pretty.

  6. Congrats on your wonderful photo as the banner. Three lovely shots as well. Love the Rhein and the red boat makes the picture, causing me to fantasize getting in and floating downstream. How beautiful Requier is! You've captured it very nicely. Nice shot of the little ferry and the flowers adorning it.
