Congratulations to Belita's photo chosen as this week's photo.
Windows are a great subject for photography. Here are the images that I chose.
We passed this window in Burano and I spotted this begonia sitting on the window sill. I liked the setting with the purple window covering.
The theaters of Broadway in New York City are decorative. I liked the architecture of the Lyceum's facade.
We recently drove through Litchfield, CT and ate lunch in town. Here is one of the shop's window. I liked the flower box.
Hi Robert!! Great photos for the theme :-)) I like the simple setting in the first shot. Very ornate window at the lyceum theatre. Lovely reflections of the autumn colours in the window of the restaurant in the third shot.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mitch. The first shot is a simple setting. I took a shot of the theater's facade but I focused on the window and the ornate columns. Some of the lobbies and interiors are ornate too.
DeleteI tend to angle my shots of windows to avoid a lot of reflection.
hi robert last but not least as usual. lol. cool pic my fav is the middle one
ReplyDeleteThank you, Nico for your comment.
DeleteNice to see you Robert. I love your top picture, very home-y. Lovely picture of the Litchfield Grill and my favorite is the magnificent facade of the Lyceum on Broadway.
ReplyDeleteHi Benni. Yes, indeed the top picture is very home-y. I can't imagine any home here with no privacy leaving an open window with a potted plant. Thanks for your comments.
DeleteThe first photo is a wonderful composition, so well balanced. You have caught the architecture very well in the second photo. Lovely flower box with beautiful colours.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat.

ReplyDeleteHi Robert! Nice composition in the top photo.... love the blind colour matching with the flower pot. Fine detail of the façade in the second... very pretty perspective in the bottom shot... My favourite is the top photo for its simplicity...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Belita. I found this window in Burano charming. It is my favorite of all three.
ReplyDeleteI like the simple beauty of the first shot, the ornate feel of the middle and the charm of the last one :)
