Picture This #222 ~ Windows

Congratulations to Belita's photo chosen as this week's photo.

Windows are a great subject for photography. Here are the images that I chose.

We passed this window in Burano and I spotted this begonia sitting on the window sill. I liked the setting with the purple window covering.

The theaters of Broadway in New York City are decorative. I liked the architecture of the Lyceum's facade.

We recently drove through Litchfield, CT and ate lunch in town. Here is one of the shop's window. I liked the flower box.

  1. Hi Robert!! Great photos for the theme :-)) I like the simple setting in the first shot. Very ornate window at the lyceum theatre. Lovely reflections of the autumn colours in the window of the restaurant in the third shot.

    1. Thanks, Mitch. The first shot is a simple setting. I took a shot of the theater's facade but I focused on the window and the ornate columns. Some of the lobbies and interiors are ornate too.
I tend to angle my shots of windows to avoid a lot of reflection.

    1. Hi Benni. Yes, indeed the top picture is very home-y. I can't imagine any home here with no privacy leaving an open window with a potted plant. Thanks for your comments.
