Picture This #224 ~ Quirky

I didn't have too much to fit this theme, so I hope these will do.

A window in the Asbury Park Casino

Someone drew this on a wall leading into a bunker at a military defense site at Rocky Point in Huber Woods

I know a lot of you have seen this before, but I think this is definitely quirky!

Three great examples of quirky. The face in the top photo has a wild kind of look in his eyes! I really really like the second one. A halo and a devil's tale! Intriguing! The last one is the quirkiest of all...still loving that shot!

Hi Honey!! Love your shots for this theme!! Cool window in the first shot, looks great in B&W. I really like that 'shadow art' in the second shot. It sort of reminds me of UK urban-artist Banksy. That third shot always makes me smile. It's the long-suffering look on Liberty's face....as if to say...how the hell did I end up here? LOL.

Hi, Joanne! Love the first one, he looks like someone who has lost a bit of cash at the casino. The drawing on the bunker is both art and (apparently) political statement. Your capture of it is well done. Finally, one of my favorite pictures, the quirkiest of the quirky, a wonderful picture with all sorts of possible interpretations. Bravo to you to see it and think to photograph it!

Rules For Weekly Challenges

The rules are similar to when Picture This was on Multiply, with a few differences. As always, please post a maximum of three photos each. The Picture This page on Blogger is optimised for image size 640 x 480, so please try to post images NO LARGER than this to avoid distorting the page or overlapping onto the right-rail. Blogger has a storage limit for photos uploaded directly to the site, so please use copy/paste of HTML from storage sites such as Flickr or Photobucket as much as you can. Unlike Multiply, Blogger does not allow posting of images in comment boxes, so anyone taking part should put their photos, along with any accompanying text, in a separate post here on the PT main page, making sure the challenge number and theme are in the title line. Please note that the posts will appear in reverse order. After the host has posted the challenge, all contribution posts will appear above it on the main page, so you will have to scroll down the main page to find the host's post.

Challenge Albums & Flickr

Unlike Multiply, Blogger does not have facility for photo albums, so Picture This now has it's own associated Flickr account, where albums will be uploaded to . Once on Flickr, they will then be cross-posted to Blogger (all of this part is done by the admins, just like the albums were on Multiply). Each challenge album will appear on it's own tabbed page, along with a Flickr slideshow of the album. The cross-post only shows the first 24 images as thumbnails, to see the whole album, either watch the slideshow, or click on the little blue link between the thumbnails and the slideshow. Only the most recent three challenge albums will show on tabbed pages, to see earlier albums, you will need to go to the Picture This Flickr page. CLICK HERE TO GO TO FLICKR PAGE. Our Flickr account has tight copyright controls, so your photos are as safe as on your own Flickr page.
