Picture This #226 ~ Alphabet Soup

Many thanks to Debby for hosting this week's challenge. She's come up with a theme that should be a lot of fun. Just choose three consecutive letters of the alphabet......for example: ABC or MNO or XYZ, or whatever you prefer......then post three photos to go with those letters!! Simple!!

My three letter sequence is A-B-C:
(the fact that mine are all insects is purely coincidental)

1) Ants in your plants!!
Ants In Your Plants

2) Bee collecting nectar.
Bee 1

3) Caterpillar crawling.
Caterpillar 1

    1. Thanks Belita :-)) Those caterpillars look lovely with their bright colours and furry spines, but when I took this there was a huge infestation of them at Zion National Park, they just covered everything!! The camping grounds had to be closed because of it.

  5. The ABC of the insect world. All very good captures. I am sure the bee was only posing for the photo. It looks like you told him to.

    1. Thanks Pat :-)) I do seem to get a good success rate of bee shots compared to other insects. The secret is not to try following them around, but identify plants or flowers that attract them the most and stay focused on those til one lands. It requires quite a bit of patience and the ability to move backwards quickly if one turns aggressive!! LOL.

  6. lol, better to have them on your plants than in your pants, and what a lovely plant it is, Mitch. Fantastic shot! I love that peachy/orange color.

Just wow@ the bee photo!!! Incredible detail!

The caterpillar is pretty, all dolled up in gold lamé.
