Many thanks to Debby for hosting this week's challenge. She's come up with a theme that should be a lot of fun. Just choose three consecutive letters of the alphabet......for example: ABC or MNO or XYZ, or whatever you prefer......then post three photos to go with those letters!! Simple!!
My three letter sequence is A-B-C:
(the fact that mine are all insects is purely coincidental)
(the fact that mine are all insects is purely coincidental)
1) Ants in your plants!!
2) Bee collecting nectar.
3) Caterpillar crawling.
Fantastic Mitch. Yes, it is a fun theme and I WILL try and join in this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shayna :-)) It will be good to see you taking part again after so long!!
DeleteA, B, C... awesome shots for the first letters of the alphabet. You made an excellent choice. Perfect captures with so fine detail. The caterpillar is my favourite....
ReplyDeleteThanks Belita :-)) Those caterpillars look lovely with their bright colours and furry spines, but when I took this there was a huge infestation of them at Zion National Park, they just covered everything!! The camping grounds had to be closed because of it.
DeleteFabulous shots. Love the incredible detail in these macros.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anders :-)) I'm sure people would prefer to see non-macro shots once in a while, but what can I say? I just love taking them!!!! LOL.
DeleteStunning macros from you as always Mitch the bee has to be my favorite;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Baz :-))
DeleteThe ABC of the insect world. All very good captures. I am sure the bee was only posing for the photo. It looks like you told him to.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :-)) I do seem to get a good success rate of bee shots compared to other insects. The secret is not to try following them around, but identify plants or flowers that attract them the most and stay focused on those til one lands. It requires quite a bit of patience and the ability to move backwards quickly if one turns aggressive!! LOL.
Deletelol, better to have them on your plants than in your pants, and what a lovely plant it is, Mitch. Fantastic shot! I love that peachy/orange color.
ReplyDeleteJust wow@ the bee photo!!! Incredible detail!
The caterpillar is pretty, all dolled up in gold lamé.
Thanks Debby :-)) I was wondering if anyone would appreciate the play on words with the ant shot!! LOL. I think the bee shot is probably one of my best three insect shots of all
DeleteWonderful insects with such detail!! The colors in the first one really catch my eye. The busy bee and the fuzzy caterpillar are great too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benni :-))
Deletehi mitch I have no words to express how beautiful and stunning are your three pics. you're surely a master .
