What a marvelous banner for this week, one of Belita's superb portraits of people.
I don't currently have an animal living with me, at least none that I am aware of. Certainly there are spiders walking around in the basement and as long as they don't bother me, I do not bother them. I was tempted to include a picture of the gecko lizard that lived in our Florida house, but he is not even a mammal.
Anyway, here are some animals I have known to one degree or another.
I forgot his name but he was a star at the Broward Dog Beach in Florida.
Vancouver, who somehow got called Dippy, in my ill-tended garden. She was a marvelous mouser and a fine companion who lived to be 19.
My Honey, who left us last December. That's my Yahoo 360! page on the computer.
A good catch on the first one, interesting photo. What a majestic look Dippy has, she really knows that cats rule. No. 3 is a super photo, I am sure she was communicated with the computer.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat. Honey did have a favorite YouTube video, the original "Two Cats Talking". Mostly she liked the warmth.
DeleteHi Benni !! Three great shots for the theme. Good action-capture of the dog. Was he a champion frisbee-catcher? I've never seen a photo of Dippy before, was she before Honey? Lovely colours. I love that third shot, I was hoping you would post it. It's just such a beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mitch. The dog was just a regular dog who liked to swim. His owner would throw the frisbee out and the dog would happily swim to it. Vancouver/Dippy was our first cat; we got her shortly after we got our house. I had a hard time choosing a Honey picture, so I am very glad you like this one. I do too.
DeleteHi Benni! Love the three shots for Mitch's theme...the dog having fun in the water is an awesome shot, yet I also like the cat ones...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Belita. It's so nice for dogs and their owners to have a beach where they can frolic off their leashes, and nice for me to watch.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful siamese
Sorry for your loss, dear.
Thank you, Anders, very kind.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Benni.
DeleteAwww, beautiful cats, Benni! I love all three of your photos, but the cats are special!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debby. I loved my cats and miss them.
