Many thanks to Benni for hosting this week's challenge. Her theme is a really good one, with lots of possible interpretations!! I've tried to find shots that contain both curves and lines. I think the first three certainly do, the last one is just curves.
1) The clubhouse of a local yachting club is a combination of modern and traditional materials. It's also a combination of curves and lines!!
2) Traditional chimney on a building near the Grand Canyon.
3) Classic curves and lines.......a wagon wheel!!!
4) My favourite curves......Echinacea heart.
Cool curve. Incredible chimney. It has prolly rolled west at some point. Utterly lovely flower.
ReplyDeleteWell, it rolled....that's for sure!! LOL.
DeleteGood day, Mitch, morning for me, but I am sure midday by now for you. Very nice picture up top, modern clean lines and curves. I like the angle you took and it also makes me want to see the whole thing. In contest, the old chimney and wagon wheel, both combining curves and lines, are quite lovely, primitive I guess, but skillfully made (and skillfully taken by you). And, of course, the lovely macro, stunning detail.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benni :-)) I don't think I ever took a shot of the whole of the yacht club clubhouse, only some angle shots like this. Will have to go back one of these days.
DeleteLike the curves of your yachting club house, good mixture of material. The chimney and wagon wheel have lovely curves and line patterns and the last photo is nature and the photographer at its best.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :-))
DeleteLove that first shot. It always makes me feel like I'm falling off into space when I see it!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very rustic looking chimney there, Mitch! I'd love to see the building, too.
The wagon wheel is a surefire classic!
The Echinacea is so pretty! Gorgeous green and wonderful detail!
Thanks Debby :-)) I checked my files and realised I didn't take a shot of the whole building, just the chimney!!
DeleteFour fabulous sets of lines and curves... the top one is really beautiful... Very simple, nice angle.... oh my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThanks Belita :-))
