Congratulations, Nico! Good shot to be this week's banner... I like it!!
Main entrance to the regional train station (Lisbon)
Teacher and students getting on a train that would take them on a school visit to Sintra town
A stretch of a motorway. Storks like that place to make their nests

ReplyDeleteHi Nico! Portugal is always ready to welcome you back on here..
DeleteWhat a lovely entrance to the station, really artistic and good shot. Interesting shot with the students boarding the train. Motorways are the same everywhere but no they are not. Each country has its own way of doing things, love that shot.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat!
DeleteHi Belita!! What problem were you having with Flickr? I've not experienced any problems with today myself. Anyway, I have uploaded your shots to the Picture This Flickr page and re-input them using the HTML code from there.
ReplyDeleteThree wonderful shots for Pat's theme. The entrance to the Lisbon train station is truly beautiful. Good shot of the students going on their trip. Had to smile at the last shot. Those storks certainly build their nests in strange places!!! LOL.
The photos were uploaded as usual but when I wanted to get the respective codes, Flickr informed me that they were having some technical problem and could not do it. Thanks for your efforts which I really appreciated
DeleteImpressive arches
ReplyDeleteOn their way to a new adventure
Cool shot
Thank you, Anders!
Deleteyou're welcome, Belita
DeleteHi Belita. Lovely pictures. The entrance to the train station seems to show a Moorish influence, I could be wrong. In your second picture, I like the older person looking at the young people getting on the train. And, had you not pointed them out, I might not have noticed the storks nesting on the overpass on the highway. That is just fabulous!! Big birds do the same in Florida and I always pray that they are safe.
ReplyDeleteHi Benni! I would say that the façade of the station is an important example of Romantic architecture in Portugal. The two intertwined horseshoe portals - the most interesting features, in my opinion - at the entrance are good examples of a Romantic recreation of the exuberant Manueline style, typical of early 16th century, in Portugal.
