Many thanks to Anders for hosting this week. He's come up with a great theme, one that I don't think we've done before. I had to dig into my archives to find some shots for this, but I did find some!!
Here are mine:
1) 'Ninian', Mountain railway, Snowdonia, Wales.
2) Railway track switchgear, Scolton, Wales.
3) Tank-engine 'Margaret', Scolton, Wales
4) Engine plaque, Gwendaeth Valley Railway, Wales.
Hi Mitch! As I mentioned on my post, I am so glad to see one of your photos as banner. Your shots are terrific. I think my favorite is the tank engine "Margaret", lovely colors. I bet she has quite a history. Nice plaque for the Gwendraeth Valley Railway Co. All are so nice.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch great banner
ReplyDeleteLove all your wonderful shots--love old trains
Mitch I thought you could at least have a photo from the station sign on llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch although I believe the station no longer exists. Otherwise the Snowdon railway is very sweet and a very good idea of taking a photo of the switch gear. Love the old tank engine, really nostalgia and the plaque brings me pictures of the old films on the BBC.
ReplyDeleteSteam engines breath of somewhat gentler age. When the rush of today still wad decades away.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch! Love the variety of your selection for this week's theme... The photo showing the track switchgear is my favourite.... i had never seen anything like that and had no idea how it could be...
