My neighbourhood covers two very different areas: one that is mainly residential and modern while the other is mainly commercial and monumental, always crowded with tourists. If you like sweet pastry, you have a pastry shop that was founded in 1823. It's well-known for its custard tarts.
You see it at the top of a building that is used for commercial purposes.
You see this tower nearby
Never leave the area without tasting the typical pastry
Hi Belita!! I'm very glad you managed to find time to enter this week's theme. Three wonderful shots. Beautiful classical architecture in both of the first two shots. I have to say that pastry looks delicious. Would love to try one.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mitch, for your comment. You know, sometimes it's not a question of having time but of being in mood.... The pastry is good as it's sweet enough but not extremely sweet. If you want to visit the shop pls don't hesitate, they have their site in English.... http://www.pasteisdebelem.pt/en.html
DeleteYou live in a very nice area with some wonderful architecture. It is always a pleasure to see something different. I could become a fan of your custard tarts, it looks very inviting.
ReplyDeleteHi, Belita, a very lovely neighborhood. I enjoy non-modern ornate buildings much more than modern. Your first picture is a fine example of classical architecture and my favorite with the ivory color and the deep blue. I also love the tower and the pastry, quite nice.
ReplyDeleteHi Belita what a wonderful collection love them all
