Glad to be back on here after a few weeks of absence. Hope all of you have been doing well. Beautiful banner image from Baz. Really beautiful.
On the past weeks I often looked up, I looked down but, above all, I looked around.
When reaching a small square, in a town in Spain, I looked around and I saw this photographer with an old-time camera on tripod.
But when I was looking around inside a store my eyes set on a delicate fan and on the two parasol umbrellas made of embroidery lace - I presume they are used as accessories for brides.
As I was having a light meal at an open-air snack-bar somewhere in Spain, I looked around and I saw this hiker who was very concentrated on her gadget.
Hi, Belita, so nice to have you back. What lovely places you've been. I like the dappled light in the first picture and the beautiful old camera. The fan and umbrellas are daintily pretty and I love the muted tones of the photograph. Very nice shot of the hiker and especially the delicate plume of smoke from her cigarette. A great capture of an ordinary moment that is also intriguing; I wonder what she was seeing on her device.

DeleteHi Belita!! It's good to see you back after your travels. The man in the first photo looks rightly proud of his classic old camera. I like the patterns of light and shade in the shot, too. Those parasols are very ornate and show very good craftsmanship. I really like your third photo. Your 'people' shots are always so interesting, like a small window into another's life. I wonder what she was looking at on her phone/tablet.

DeleteVery intersting photos. The man with the old camera is unique. The delicate work of the parasols and fan is very ornate. Perhaps she was checking the route on her phone.
