Many thanks to Belita for hosting this week. A very interesting theme, and one I don't think we've done before. I thought I would have lots of photos for this theme, but I really had to search hard through my archive for some I could use!!
1) This tree, near the Sunset Volcano Crater, Arizona had been damaged and broken by a lightning strike.
2) The damaged remains of what was once one of the most popular hotels in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales.
3) This sign is not only damaged by the weather, but also by a car driving into it!!
4) Broken window at Batsto Industrial Village, New Jersey.
Hi Mitch great banner by belita
ReplyDeletelove all your shots
Great capture of where the lightening struck. The hotel probably saw some good days in is life, interesting shot.Someone probably read only the welsh bit before reading the english and got confused. One of those interesting broken windows that will probably never be repaired.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fine job of finding pictures for the theme. You tree limb is wonderful against the mountainous background. The hotel in Tenby looks kind of spooky and also forlorn. Poor sign and poor person who drove into it. My favorite is the window in Jersey, I know you didn't break it, but if you had, you couldn't have picked a better spot. Wonderful in every way.
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch! Sorry for my choice of theme...I didn't want you to spend your time searching photos for it. Anyway, your search was very worthy.... it resulted in four perfect shots... Broken/damaged can be beautiful... all the four shot do prove it, particularly the top one that is my favourite....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful in its decrepitude
