Hi all, Baz here in the guest chair this week, I was honored when Mitch called and asked if I would be the first guest host here in the Picture This new home, as many of you know PT has a very special place in my heart as a founder member many years ago.
Its wonderful to see it still up and running successfully after so many incarnations, a tribute to Mitch and the team of Admins. Congrats to them on a wonderful job done on finding a place to be PT new home.
OK down to business, the rules the same as always, 3 of your favorite images that fit the theme, they can be new or from your archive but only 3 please.
The size I have used below is about the size you should use so the page is not distorted.
Don't forget to post by copy/pasting HTML from Flickr or Photobucket. Please do not upload from your puter direct to the PT site.
Fine, that's the house work done LOL.
For the theme I have chosen one of my favorite subjects "WATER IN MOTION" and three shots from three of my all time favorite shoots, the first two images have not been posted before, the third I have shown once I believe.
1) is the head waters of the Mississippi River in Itasca State Park Minnesota.
2) is Dark Hollow Falls in the Shenandoah State Park, Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia.
and
3) is the classic surfing beach at Bournemouth UK, taken from Bournemouth Pier.
I look forward to seeing all your shots over the course of the following week, have a great weekend;) Baz
Hi Baz!! Many thanks for being our first guest-host on the new PT site!!! Great theme you've chosen, a lot of scope for different types of shot. I've got a few in mind already.
ReplyDeleteNice shot of the Mississippi headwaters, I think I've seen that one before back on Multiply. Fabulous shot of the waterfall, I love the 'flow' effect you have captured. The surfer is just a superb action shot!! There's so much movement going on, both the surfer and the water. I'm looking forward to seeing what folks come up with for this!!
BTW.....sorry, I added an extra line into the post to remind folks about the posting rule!! Forgot to ask you to put that in.
Deletewow wonderful theme and your shots are great will be back
ReplyDeleteGreat way to start off the new site with. Welcome Baz, and great shots of water in motion.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Baz on the perfect start as our first guest. All aqua motion at its best.
ReplyDeleteAll 3 very nice but love that surfing shot. Will have to see what I have in my files. Don't have very many water in motion photos.
ReplyDeletePut the hosepipe on and ask the horses to dance through the water, Lynda..............just kidding, I know it is winter and frozen there, but could just see Little Joe playing with the hose , making all wet *smile*
DeleteWonderful Theme, Baz and great shots. I must somehow have missed the update, as only saw the post now ......mmmmmmmmhhhmmm, nearly thought Baz had forgotten, must look into that.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Baz, I battle with water in motion, so now the brain is all helter skelter what to do. Might have to shoot from new, just for fun, mmmmhhhm, any hints??
A bit late here now. Will try to post tomorrow.
Nice to see you, Baz, as the first guest host! Really love all the three shots but looking at the first one - Itasca State Park Minnesota - makes me dream...
ReplyDeleteA river runs thru it. Paradisiacal waterfall. Surf's up!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the kind words and you contributions this week I have enjoyed hosting very much;)
ReplyDeleteMy computer is acting funky, but I love this theme! The surfer shot is amazing. Looks like moses parting the red sea on his surf board.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots. Great theme. The surfer looks like he will be swallowed by the sea! I always admire the falling water shots like yours. How do you do that?
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Baz. All three are excellent photos for your chosen theme.
ReplyDeleteFabulous captures!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job Hosting Baz. Wow What an exciting Challenge, Love it~!! And Wow, Your photos, as always , are Beautiful~!!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Amazing all three! I don't know if I most admire the fall shot or the surfer...
