Wonderful Banner by Danette, the lighting is lovely on that shell.
I have one like that too, sitting on the Edge of the bath in the one bathroom.
An interesting theme, Belita, some fantastic entries as per usual all over.
I am cutting it to the short before getting in trouble again, so without further ado:

Beautiful shots and very beautiful animals, Marianne!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots, I particularly like the bottom one. Great composition and colors.
ReplyDeleteMany spots and lines and pointy things
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of these animals. I love the pose of the cat. Is this a cheetah? The giraffes are exposed wonderfully. I like the background in that photo. The last photo of the animals on the veld is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteyes Robert , a rare King Cheetah, they are darker with different markings to the ordinary cheetah

Thank you for your lovely comments. The giraffes is my special pair from Heia Safari Ranch, they just another additon to the family. Lumina , she is now on 6 weeks old and adorable.

The Sable Antelope is from another of my favourite haunts, close to home, 20 minutes away. Krugersdorp Game Reserve, which sadly seems to have run out of funds and might be closing down. Terrible reviews on the Internet at the moment. Their 3 rhinos were poached a couple of years ago and some of the lions too, they tried to get it up and running, but bad staff, poor planning, corrupt management is but a few of their problems. Am concerned about the remaining animals and has just contacted my friends at Heia to see if we can accommodate them on the adjoining reserve in the meantime. *sigh*
I am now going to be very busy yet again for the next couple of weeks.
Awesome shots of beautiful animals. Love the cheetah's eyes... perhaps a bit suspicious of your camera... love the mother giraffe looking very protective... The bottom one is my favourite.... beautifullll! Thanks, Marianne!
ReplyDeleteHe hissed at me as he sneaked past my land rover. *sigh* I had told him I come in peace :-)
DeleteThank you all for visiting and your sweet comments. See you soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Marianne!! Sorry I'm late commenting, but I've been away the past week. Three awesome wildlife shots!!! The Cheetah is absolutely beautiful. I love it's markings. More like the markings of an Ocelot than a Cheetah. The Giraffes are wonderful, too!! Love the herd shot in the third photo. Are they a variety of Ibex?
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch, no trouble, I know you were gallivanting visiting family and also our good friend Baz. *winks* Ibex is a goat as far as I know, but I am also silly, as these are not Sable, but of course Oryx Antelope. Not sure why I wrote Sable, too much in a hurry? My apologies.
DeleteThree wonderful photos of animals I only see in the zoo. I just love those long horned animals in the last photo, wish our farmers in Switzerland would have something like that.
ReplyDeleteThank you Pat, but doubt you would get any wonderful milk or lovely Swiss cheese from these antelopes , rather stick to your beautiful diary cows, bring some Emmentaler and come visit me and we will go on a Safari of note.
