PICTURE THIS #215 ~ RED

Desperately busy here, just grabbing 1/2 hour at lunch time.

I had a couple of RED's ready in the box from another challenge earlier this year.  I doubt if I used these, but if you have seen them, then apologise.

Great theme, Mitch, sorry for being so scarce, will try to catch up, but no promises.

Wonderful banner, Benni, fantastic capture.

Lovely entries of RED, simply stunning all of them. If have a chance will pop around and comment, but doubt. Hectic busy here. Blog to follow when time allows.

  1. Marianne, these are four great photos for the theme. I love how you chose only the gum boots in color and the rest in monochrome. The display of tomatoes looks delicious. Nice shots of the harrower and the classic car.

  3. Hi Marianne!! Great to see you making time to take part :-)) Super shots for the red theme!! Lovely shot of the hay-rake. Great editing on the second one to just show the girl's boots in colour. I could just eat some of those tomatoes!! Yumm!! Love that last shot.....a classic Cortina!!

  4. Wow, Marianne, these are some great shots. I love the old rake, such a vivid red. My favorite is the girl in the red boots - marvelous and so creative. And you caught the twinkle in her eye. I can just taste those tomatoes, nicely presented. Great picture of the old car; my husband proclaimed it a Cortina (as did Mitch).

  5. Great shots, Marianne! I love the old hay rake. You sure don't see many of those around.

I absolutely adore the one of the girl in red boots. Great capture and fantastic editing!

    The tomatoes look yummy!

Do you know the name/make of the car?

    1. First time try with the red standing out, not sure if I did it right, but will play with it some more. PicMonkey Premium is really cool.

  6. Thank you all for your kind remarks and for putting up with my abscence and lack of participation. September is going to be a bad month as I have training on a new system on top of everything else and a lack of free weekends to catch up on work.

The car is a Ford Cortina Mk I 1962 - 4 door saloon, that have been fixed up. Russell is a member of the Ford Cortina Club SA, as he has a Ford Cortina XR6 , 1982, that he is busy fixing up, he inherited from his late father in law. This picture is from the latest rally we went to at Nasrec. There were some beauties there.

  8. Lovely photos Marianne. I could use a hay rake like that for the moss in my lawn, how sweet and colourful. A good idea with the boots and those cherry tomatoes are everywhere at the moment - love them and what a good photo subject thinking must try that out as well. Lovely red car, a good catch. And have fun with the power cuts.

  9. Excellent shots for the theme, Marianne! They are all something completely different and I can't say which one I prefer most.
