PICTURE THIS #240 ~ COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW

Good Morning all,

Congrats to Pat on a wonderful header image and to Marianne on selecting a wonderful theme for this week.

When I was a student we had a great mnemonic  for remembering the colours of the rainbow:

Red - Richard
Orange - of
Yellow - York
Green  - Gave
Blue - Battle
Indigo - in
Violet - Vain

It has stuck with me to this day! LOL
OK so here are my selection of images reflecting the rainbow.

Have a wonderful weekend ;)

  2. Hi Baz !! A superb collection of shots for the 'rainbow' theme!! Stunning red rose, excellent details. Beautiful orange sky in the second shot, and wonderful yellow lilies in the third. Love that little green frog hiding on the leaf. The dragonfly shot is just awesome!! Great shot of the California coast in the 'indigo' shot, and lovely flowers in the final shot.

  3. oh my gosh, only saw the frog now, when reading Mitch's comment. I saw on FB you had put up some rainbow shots, so guessed correctly :-)

Wonderful selection of shots of all the colours of the rainbow. I really appreciate the trouble you all went to with your choices.

Lovely rose, I have never seen the sky such an exquisite colour of orange, you do have the most wonderful sunsets in your neck of the woods.

The sea is a wonderful blule, what a view from on top there, breathtaking and the little dragon fly is wonderful as is the details in your yellow spotted lily and the little bluebells, not sure is that what they are?

  4. All beautiful examples of the rainbow colours. By the way our Richard of York in Bethnal Green gained his battles in vain and did not give them, but there are probably a few variants on the theme.

  6. WOW! Yours and Mitch's photos are just incredible for this theme!

My favorite is that gorgeous rose! I've never seen one formed like that. Very unusual.

  7. Well done Baz. I have the rose in your first photo. It is the right red I wanted but the only one I have with no perfume. Love them all but must say I likes the lily bestest. :-)
