As always, internet here is a challenge, and I apologize for just today commenting on some people's weather pictures. Here are my contrasts:
White contrasting with blue water.
By contrast, this alligator is not too visible, except for the sun on his eye. He is swimming by our dock.
Orange contrasting with deep green.
Bird in action, very clever shot. The alligator is just wherehe should be, alone and far away. Love that photo. wonderful colour contrasts on the flower.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat. The alligator is about 30 feet away in the long narrow pond by our house. That is why we swim in the ocean.
DeleteHi Benni! Good to see you could post your three beautiful contributions, despite the bad internet connection. The first shot is an awesome capture of the white bird. His wing looks like an unfolded fan... beautiful! Clever alligator...perhaps he was spying the area... Love the orange colour of that flower and the contrast with the deep green...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Belita. The birds down here are fabulous. I am learning to use a fast shutter speed, but I must say, many of my pictures are of just one wing, or the tail. So I was lucky here. The alligator cruises by in the morning and evening. I love to see him. The orange flowers were photographed at about the same time as the alligator, the light is so rich.
DeleteOh my Benni, Fabulous shot of the bird, wish I could get them to pose for me! lol
ReplyDeleteAs for the croc, glad I don't live where you do. Great shooting I must say.
Love the colour of your flower, it is stunning!
Thanks, Shayna, only a few pose for me, because I feed them. I've often wished more would pose. The rest I need to get lucky for. Florida has such rich colors in flowers; where I live up north the colors are more muted.
DeleteHi Benni !! Great shots for Belita's theme!! Love that wonderful shot of the Egret coming in to land. Caught the wings perfectly. I like how you caught the glint of sun on the 'gator's head. Beautiful orange flower. Any idea what it's called?
ReplyDeleteHi Mitch, and thanks. You know how it is with animals; they are doing one thing when you aim and another when you click. Except for the 'gator, he just looks ominous. I believe the orange flower is Trumpet Vine.
DeleteLovely takes on the theme Benni ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Baz!!
DeleteFantastic shots, Benni! I just love the bird coming in for a landing.
ReplyDeleteYikes! Cool shot of the gator.
The orange flowers are so vibrant! Is that from a hothouse?
Thank you, Debby. No, the flowers are just outside. I just noticed the doggies in your banner shot have little boots on. Hot cute is that! Congrats on the pic.

ReplyDelete"Im doing a Nessie."
Beautiful colours
LOL, Anders, that alligator is doing a Nessie. Thanks for your kind words.
DeleteYou're welcome, Benni. :D
