Many thanks to Anders for hosting this week's theme at short notice. Great theme he's chosen....I guess it's a longer way of saying 'Black And White' LOL. Most B&W shots contain greyscale in them anyway.
I always seem to use the same shots for 'Black And White' themes on various sites and groups, so recently I did some conversion work on some old faves, so that I have some new ones to use.
Here are mine:
1) Scott Memorial, Cardiff Bay, Wales
2) Cygnets In The Nest
3) Gunnera Flowers
4) Rhea (flightless South American bird)
Cool statue
ReplyDeleteSweet little ones
Cute
"Im staring somebody down."
More like "I'm staring at something in the distance, and I'm not sure what it is, so I'll keep perfectly still" LOL.
DeleteHi Mitch four fabulous captures I cant pic a fav I really like them all, beautiful work ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Baz :-))
DeleteReally wonderful shots, Mitch! Being a mother, of course I like the babies the best. They are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debby :-)) Yes, those cygnets really are cute.
DeleteIf Rheas could talk. It would be saying " I will get you the next time". LOL Love the close up of the chicks and the flowers. The first shot of Scott Memorial is really nice. There was a lot of work that went into making that memorial. Love what they and you did.
ReplyDeleteThanks Randall :-)) If Rheas could tak, I think this one would be saying "What's that, over there???" LOL. Yes, the Scott Memorial is a pretty unique statue.
Deletelove them all especially the first one
ReplyDeleteThanks Heidi :-))
DeleteScott looks wonderfully "frozen", Love the chicks and the big bird, but above all the Gunnera flowers, they shine in the light.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :-)) I was really happy with that shot of the Gunnera. There were little pools of sunlight creeping in between the leaves and onto the flowers like little spotlights.
DeleteLove your shots, Mitch. Would like to know more about the Scott Memorial, it looks modern and medieval at the same time. The baby swans are just too cute and for detail, can't beat that capture of the rhea.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benni :-)) If you want to know more about the Scott Memorial, copy this address into your browser, it'll take you to the official site:
