Many thank to Baz for hosting this week's challenge, a great theme which I expect to see many interesting entries for!! This is our 250th challenge, quite a milestone!! There have been a lot of changes along the way, changes of admins, changes of sites, but through it all we've had fun and seen LOTS of fantastic photos!! Here's to many more!!
I've tried to be a little different here, by posting shots all taken at the same location, the National Botanical Gardens of Wales, although over several different visits in the past few years.
1) View through the window of the cafe during a rain shower.
2) View through the gateway of the old stable-block.
3) The Gallery. A view through both doors AND windows!! LOL.
4) Looking up through the windows of The Great Glasshouse.
Hi Mitch here I am--first a wonderful shot by benni
ReplyDeleteand Baz theme is wonderful--
I love all yours
Thanks Heidi :-))
DeleteIt's a rainy day in...
ReplyDeleteAn arch inside an arch
Very cool
Impressive structure
The arch inside the arch was exactly what I was going for. Loved the way they lined up.
DeleteThose rainy window shots have such a lovely effect, I must try that out. Gateways to almost infinity - wonderful feeling of distance .Lovely gallery shot and the glass house roof is a great capture.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :-)) Rain-on-glass shots are something I've experimented with a few times. Doesn't always work, but when it does the result can be most rewarding.
DeleteHi Mitch, your terrific shots make me want to visit the Gardens. They are all wonderful; two in particular caught my eye. The view through the gateway is so fascinating. And my favorite is the capture of the metalwork of the Great Glasshouse. The show of sun is a perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benni :-)) The NBG is such a big place, there's no way you can see it all in a single day.....well, not if you want to take lots of photos as well, anyway!! LOL. The last time I went, I spend almost the entire time inside the Great Glasshouse. The time before that, almost a whole day just inside the Walled Garden. Ideally, you really need several days to explore it in full.
DeleteHi Mitch! Four awesome shots, as always! The first and the second from the the top are really impressive to me...
ReplyDeleteThanks Belita :-))
DeleteI knew you would have some great shots for this theme Mitch and you did ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Baz :-))
DeleteNice rainy day shot, Mitch.
ReplyDeleteI love the shot through the gateway. Very pretty!
Pretty art gallery. Quite a contrast with the old stone building across the way.
That's some window in that last shot!
Thanks Debby :-)) Yes, I liked the contrast between the glass of The Gallery and the stone building, too.
