Many thanks to Pat for hosting this week. I really like her theme, lots of possibilities!! For myself, I have decided to go with 'strange characters'.
1) This strange character I call 'The Watcher'. I spotted him in a flower-bed at Stackpole Gardens. A strange place to put a sculpture!! It was difficult to get a clear shot through all the plants!!
2) I spotted this strange and ghostly figure at Aberglasny Gardens. I call him 'The Spirit Of The Gardens'
3) I spotted this strange character, who appears to be half fox and half man at Picton Castle Gardens. Even stranger is that he appears to be holding Captain America's shield!!! LOL.
4) This strange character was also spotted at Stackpole Gardens. There's just something about him that makes me smile.
I think No. 3 is a were wolf, probably one of the original inhabitants of Wales. The other three are great captures and very good for the theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat :-)) The sign under the wickerwork sculpture in the third shot definately said it was supposed to be a fox, although to me only the head is fox.....the rest is a man. I think I like your werewolf idea better.
DeleteHi, Mitch, terrific pix, especially the Watcher. The color contrast is marvelous. Also love what Pat has called a werewolf, very interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks Benni :-)) Yes, 'The Watcher' is a very interesting sculpture. It's placement is rather surprising, but it is effective.
DeleteWow, these are all amazing shots of the strange and unusual. What wonderful finds! I love your funny face the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debby :-)) Yes, that face in the last shot does evoke a smile, even though it is actually a serious expression.
