Water is a great theme, thank you, Baz. And my ducks and I are honored to have them as banner picture for this week, thank you all.
Seagulls on northern Lake Michigan
These rocks are underwater; I don't know if you can see that. The cold water of Lake Superior, far north in Canada, does not support much in the way of algae, and the water stays clear.
I took a few pictures of this pelican fishing in the surf. I don't think I posted this one before.
Congratulations on the banner photo. I just love those rocks under water. So clear and clean.I have actually never seen a pelican so appreciate all the photos showing them. A good action photo. Lake Michigan looks really big - a good shot of the seagulls.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat. I kept the black and white rock that's close to the center. And I had so much fun that day with the pelican.
DeleteHi Benni !! Lovely shots for this week's theme. Great shot of the gulls in flight over the lake. Wow, that water must be crystal-clear!! The rocks look like they are on dry land!! Super action capture of the surf as the pelican fishes in the background.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mitch. The water is really that clear, and brings out the color of the stones (mostly agate).

ReplyDeleteI love all three of your photos! The shot of the gulls looks so peaceful!
The rocks under water are beautiful..to think there is water THAT lovely and crystal clear and hopefully clean, SOMEWHERE in this world. It's inspiring!
The last shot is just wow! He chose some rough waters to go fishing in!
