Picture This #209 ~ The Photos That No-One Wanted

At a local Art Gallery

A downtown vintage thrift store (the reflection cut off their heads!)

Taken at a local restaurant's outdoor seating section

  1. Hi, Danette, these are all very interesting! The severed feet and hand do make an intriguing display and I would love to be able to talk to the artist. The thrift shop ladies lost their heads for the 4th of July, nicely done, even if perhaps it came out differently than you intended. The bottom picture gives me an idea of the atmosphere of the restaurant and I enjoy the angle from which you captured it. Great pix, all three.

  3. Hi Danette!! Love your entries for the theme. There's something afoot at the local art gallery!!! LOL. I was going to make a remark about the thrift-store mannequins having their heads in the clouds, but you beat me to it!! Funny shot though :-)) Great wall-hanging in the restaurant.

  4. Very interesting casts of the hands and feet. Makes me think of a mother watching over her child.

I love shop windows. I almost used two shots from Macy's window displays called American Icons. I love the patriotism displayed here. It still makes me swell up with pride when I see the flag displayed!!!

This last shot made me think of Harry Nilsson..."
Bang bang, shoot em up destiny"...remember that one?

  5. I love those feet - so original. The shop window is nice and colourful. The things you can hang on a restaurant wall - at least you will be safe if there is a robbery.

  6. Ho Danette, nice shot of the feet. I like how you shot the shop window with the "headless" mannequins. I like reflection shots as well so the building across the street in visible too. The wall display gives the impression of the restaurant's style. Nice angle shot.
