What a great theme and I decided to have a little fun with it. As a beginning photographer, I try to take as many pictures as I can. These are three that I like but they would have stayed in my "Odds and Ends" folder.
I wanted to capture these last flowers of autumn in the November light. The vase is sitting on a metal grate.
She won. Twice. And by all accounts, is a good judge.
Cats can be very persistent when they want something.
Congratulations, Marianne, on your magnificent photograph being chosen for the banner. It was my favorite. So very well done.
The flowers are really beautiful, such vibrant colours. The second is just the sort of thing I love, it says so much, just some grass and a plaque. No. 3 is of course a winner, I am sure the cat was reading as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat. Maybe I will take my flower picture out of the "exile" file. The cat is probably trying to read Tom's mind.
DeleteHi Benni !! Wow, I love all three of your shots for Pat's theme. The flower shot is just beautiful, the light is wonderful. Had to laugh at the second one....could be straight from the book 'Inappropriate Names For Your Job' LOL. Great shot of Honey seeking some attention :-))
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the sign in the second one, I thought it was a joke. But, as I say, it wasn't and she won. Thank you for your kind words on all three of mine. : )
DeleteBenni, your capture of light in that first photo is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeletelol,lol,lol...funny name for a judge!!!
Love the kitty photo!
Oh, thank you, Debby. I fought and fought to try and get the light and composition. I wonder if people laugh when they enter Judge Lawless's court. And the kitty is the kitty.
DeleteExquisite flower.
ReplyDeleteLOLOL!!!
"Read that passage again, please."
The passage says "Cats should be fed whenever they want". LOL. Thank you for your kind words, Anders.
DeleteI like the color and glow of the vase, it works well with the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe sign made me smile, it's funny how sometimes peoples names relate to their career.
The last photo is priceless and precious too :)
Thank you, Danette and you are right on people, careers and names. In my hometown there was a doctor Touthaker. He was a dentist.
DeleteI like your choice of photos for the theme. The flower arrangement in the vase is lovely. There's a lot of detail in the flower petals.
ReplyDeleteThe second shot is ironical. Judge Lawless!
Cats make an interesting subject. I think that they are the owners.
Thank you, Robert, and yes, they are definitely our owners.
