Picture This #207 ~ Cemeteries, Crypts, Headstones
Cemeteries are lovely places, particularly older ones. These pictures are all from a cemetery in a small city not too far from me. It has graves from 1860 to the present day.
Hi Benni !! I like your three shots for Joanne's theme, taking a slightly different look at the cemetery. Beautiful magnolia in front of the marble headstone. Unusual cupola in the chapel in the second shot, leads me to think it might have European origins. The last shot looks very peaceful.
I love the magnolia against the black marble, Benni, but your last is my favorite. I just find cemetaries so peaceful and serene (does that make me weird?).
I want to apologize for being so late in commenting. I didn't realize how quickly the time went.
Thank you, Joanne. Cemeteries can evoke so many emotions. I don't think you are weird to enjoy exploring and wandering through them. This was a truly creative theme.
