Hi Nico!! Three wonderful shots for Marianne's theme!! The artwork in the Caserta palace is fantastic. That 'unknown' part of Rome looks a very nice area. The gardens in last shot are beautiful, I'd love to explore there!!
Your pictures are beautiful but the one of Caserta brought tears to my eyes as that is the birthplace of both my grandmothers. I had no idea it was such an elegant place.
The palace of Caserta has some awesome decorations in the ceiling. Love the fountain in number two. Wish I was there right now. The last at Alcazar Del Los Reyes looks really nice with the flowers lined up in the photo as you have here.
Nico, the palace at Caserta is special to me because my mother's family came from there. In fact, we discovered that we have family living there. Some of my family members have been there and toured the palace. I thought about putting photos of Italy in this theme but I chose images here in the States. I have photos of Rome that are in an unknown part of the city. I like the shot with the fountain. The last image is lovely with the flowers lined up. All beautiful images.
Sorry Nico for missing out commenting here, I kept peeping and you were on "draft' so decided to wait a bit.
All are wonderful travel pictures. Makes me want to pack a suitcase and come join you, sure must be warmer than here too.
Beautiful murals on the ceiling in Caserta. Wonder if Michael Angelo did any of them. Note to self: "Google"
The fountain in unknown part of Rome is very similar to a fountain at a plush Italian inspired theme Hotel here. Like Déjà vu looking at that. Wonderful
The garden looks lovely, all yellows and orange, is that Marigolds?
Amazing facade.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fountain and building
Utterly lovely shot.

My goodness, Robert, both my mother and father's mothers came from Caserta. Perhaps we are related. It is not too big a place.
Deletenow imagine that, benni, maybe you should look into that possibility?
