Classical - I suppose I could put up a photo of my nose, that is really classical, but won't bother. Anyhow here is what I found:
Our local town of Solothurn was sort of founded by the Romans, so it is steeped in classical stuff I suppose. The most classical seem to be the signs of the local inns. I saw this one of the Hotel Krone (Crown) so took a shot.
Hi Pat!! A photo of your nose would certainly have been different to all other entries!! LOL. Three wonderful selections for the theme. Love the local inn sign. Rather more ornate and classical than most British inn signs!! Great shot of the Solothurn cathedral spires. The ceiling of St.Urs is really beautiful!! Truly classical architecture.
ReplyDeleteLovely golden crown. Beautiful bulbous tower roofs. Exquisite church interior.
