Picture This #199 ~ Spring

Here the spring events are starting to roll out. This family of birds have been living in my bird house for the past few months. I think they were staying there just so no one else would get it from them. Well now they are kicking in and starting to prep the nest. You can see this one has a nice space planned already.

Flickers have been getting brighter and more colorful with spring in the air too!

  1. Hi Randall !! Good to see you back again. Those sparrows are certainly busy little critters!! I'm not familiar with the bird in the third shot, but he's a handsome fellow :-)) Great shots!!

  4. Here the flickers stay all year round. They just get more colorful in the spring. They are getting a bit more easy going around me now a days. The first one of the sparrow with the branch Is my favorite too. Had a couple shots of him, but his head was moving so fast. With the dark morning light, he just kept me working to get something not blurred. Thanks for your comments.

    1. We have the flickers and a little wood pecker late spring and summer. This year the little woodpecker didn't have a female mate. He called and called.

  9. all three are great shots, but then you are an amazing photographer, the blue bird house is too cute, wish I had one just like it :) I don't even have a feeder, just throw seeds or crumbs on the ground and they all come swooping in
the bird in the bottom photo I have never seen before, he has quite the beak!
