Happy 200th anniversary and best wishes for many other anniversaries to come...
If the theme was 'non special', the choice would have been easier. Isn't it more difficult to justify why you don't like something than to explain why you like this or that?
Anyway, these are my contributions. The top one is very special at my eyes and in my heart, the others are just photos that I like.

SUNSET IN TURKEY
What a perfectly charming picture of your grandson!! He is adorable and the shadow of the pigeon makes it even more perfect. I daresay that is the most enchanting verandah not only in Lisbon, but also in all of Europe.

DeleteHi Belita !! I've always enjoyed your photos because you have a unique eye for the unusual and the colourful. That's such a sweet photo of your grandson feeding the pigeons. The 'Lift' in Lisbon is a most unusual looking structure. Can you tell us more about it? The country house and the textures are perfect example of what I was saying about your eye for the colourful or unusual. The verandah is just beautiful, very unique. And a lovely sunset to finish.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mitch, for your comment! The Lift is the fastest and the most comfortable means to get from the downtown to the upper district. It's 45 metres high, and its structure reminds us of Eiffel. Not surprisingly as it was built by a Portuguese follower of the French architect. It was inaugurated in 1902. On the top there is a restaurant.
ReplyDeleteAll my photos are special to me. I always have the memory of when and where it was taken. Some very interesting and colourful photos of Portugal.
ReplyDeleteThe last sun shot it really nice. As well as all the other shots. Thank you for taking us along with you. Really nice seeing the building fronts and the colors.
